A Most Particular Invitation

It is a truth seldom acknowledged that the most respectable families are often those with the most to conceal.

The year is 1818.

At Noblethorpe Hall, a respectable finishing school for young ladies, preparations are underway for an important forthcoming ball. Several families of the English gentry and prosperous middle classes have gathered for a few days of dancing, conversation and the cultivation of elegant manners.

Yet beneath the polished surface of polite society, all is not as it seems.

Fortunes are uncertain. Affections are misplaced. Parents have ambitions for their children, while their children harbour ambitions of their own. Old attachments linger, reputations hang in the balance, and certain secrets have remained buried for far too long.

Over the course of a few extraordinary days, friendships will be tested, loyalties questioned and confidences exchanged.
For in a society where appearances are everything, the truth may prove the most dangerous thing of all.

[DISCOVER THE STORY]

Step Into the World of Jane Austen

An immersive experience of romance, intrigue and Regency society.

For four days, you are invited to leave the modern world behind and become part of a story inspired by the novels of Jane Austen and Anthony Trollope.

Take your place among the families of Noblethorpe Hall. Enjoy elegant dinners, dancing, afternoon tea and leisurely walks through the grounds. Exchange gossip, form alliances, pursue romantic attachments – or perhaps discover that your family’s future depends upon a secret best left untold.

Every participant portrays a character with their own relationships, ambitions and secrets. There is no audience and no predetermined ending. The story unfolds through your conversations, choices and interactions with others.

Whether you dream of a tender romance, a dramatic confrontation or simply the pleasure of an afternoon spent in Regency society, there is a place for you at Noblethorpe Hall.
