Practical Information

Everything you need to know about your stay at Noblethorpe Hall.

Dates & Location

5–8 July 2027Noblethorpe Hall, Barnsley Road, Silkstone, South Yorkshire, England

In Perfect Confidence takes place over four days at Noblethorpe Hall, an English country house that will become the home of our fictional finishing school and the setting for our Regency gathering. The venue will be reserved exclusively for our event, allowing us to create an intimate and immersive atmosphere.

The LARP is set in 1818 and has a maximum capacity of 30 people, including eight organisers and crew members. This means there will be up to 22 participants playing characters. Crew members will also play characters but with a more limited amount of time completely dedicated to play.

The minimum age for participation is 18 years.

Arrival & Departure

Monday 5 July 2027 — Arrival from 4.00 pm
Thursday 8 July 2027 — Departure by 3.00 pm

A more detailed schedule, including preparations and the start and end of the LARP itself, will be provided before the event.

Workshops, Discord and Facebook

There will be some workshop time before the LARP starts when you will be able to prepare with the other participants and get to know each other better. The LARP will have a Discord server and a Facebook event which you can use to communicate with the other participants beforehand.

There will also be a short workshop about etiquette and a short introduction to Regency dancing before the LARP starts. During the LARP all characters may join in learning the latest dances that will be danced during the upcoming ball, which is a way to learn Regency dancing during the LARP.

Accommodation

All participants will stay at Noblethorpe Hall throughout the event.

What to Bring

All participants will need suitable Regency-era clothing for their characters. You will find more information and inspiration on our Costume & Etiquette page.

  • Personal toiletries and any medication you may need.
  • Comfortable footwear suitable for the house and grounds.
  • Any additional drinks you would like during your stay.
  • A period-appropriate pastime, such as a book, embroidery, drawing materials or letter-writing supplies.

A quiet activity can be particularly enjoyable during gentler moments of the LARP and may also provide opportunities for interaction with other characters.

Language

The LARP will be played in English. You do not need to speak perfect English or use a historically accurate accent. What matters is being able to communicate with your fellow participants and take part in the story.

Accessibility & Individual Needs

We want In Perfect Confidence to be a welcoming experience and encourage participants to contact us about any accessibility requirements or other individual needs. As the event takes place in a historic country house, some parts of the building or grounds may present accessibility challenges. Please contact us before signing up if you would like to discuss whether the venue and event will meet your needs.
