The original Swedish productions of In Perfect Confidence

In 2024, we staged two productions of Hemligheter och bekännelser (Secrets and Confessions), a Regency-era LARP exploring family relationships, secrets, confessions and social expectations. The first production took place at Eskesta Länsmansgård on 3–4 February, followed by a second production at Bryggholmen Manor on 5–6 October. Both productions were warmly received, with participants particularly praising the intricate storylines, well-written characters and thoughtful organisation.

In Perfect Confidence, taking place at Noblethorpe Hall in July 2027, will be the third production of this LARP, but the first to be performed in English and to feature a setting in South Yorkshire, England.

What Our Players Said

Following the October 2024 production, participants shared their experiences in an anonymous evaluation. Here are some of their comments.

The following quotations are excerpts from participants in the October 2024 Swedish production, freely translated from Swedish. Some have been shortened for readability.

“The LARP was absolutely wonderful! I am so incredibly happy with the experience. Thank you so much for this fantastic event!”

“I was impressed by how beautifully all the plots intertwined. I became so involved in everyone else’s stories through my character’s relationships. There was always something to care about, something to feel strongly about, something I needed to do. A truly wonderful puzzle of interconnected plots!”

“Very good food, 5/5! I really liked the content, and the writing of the LARP gets 5/5 as well. Very well organised!”

“Fantastically well organised. I feel honoured and happy to have had the opportunity to LARP with you!”

“The density of plots was excellent. Having dance lessons instead of a ball was an ingenious idea. The help with hairstyles, handbags and fans went above and beyond what one could expect from LARP organisers.”

“A fantastic job! It was such a fun LARP, and absolutely perfect for bringing along my sister, who was completely new to LARPing. I’m grateful for all your hard work!”

Looking Ahead

We are delighted to bring this story to England as In Perfect Confidence. Building on the experiences and feedback from our Swedish participants, we look forward to bringing the story to life in its new setting at Noblethorpe Hall.

We would like to thank everyone who helped bring Hemligheter och bekännelser (Secrets and Confessions) to life – and especially our wonderful players, whose creativity, enthusiasm and commitment made the story their own.
